I have been painting Landscapes in oil for 5 years now, having started out as a watercolour artist. I have a fascination with skyscapes in oil because the elusive quality of cloud formations and colours suit the medium's easily blended and constantly changing qualities. I dedicated my A-level art course to improving my technique in oils, a time which I throughly enjoyed. Principally, I describe myself as a plein air painter, but I have adapted my process to direct colour sketches to work up into larger oil compositions later in the studio. Below are some of my landscape paintings depicting subjects from my hometown of Bath, to Iceland and Costa Rica. All of these pieces are for sale, unless otherwise stated.
